The purpose of coaching is to guide and support individuals as they seek to achieve the goals, success and fulfillment they desire. It is an extremely valuable strategy to utilize when one is striving to develop both professionally and personally.
The brain responds best to immediate feedback so it can correct and prevent unwanted outcomes in the future. Utilizing a coach is an effective way to assess end results, receive feedback and develop new behavior/strategies for future events.
A one-on-one program designed for individuals who desire to improve leadership skills, productivity of subordinates, achievement of personal goals, as well as enhance professional and personal relationships with both superiors and subordinates.
Since clients are often recommended for coaching, Dr. Arleque initially meets with the client’s superior and/or the Director of Human Resource. The review of the available data from performance assessments and anecdotal remarks will be coupled with initial interviews with the client to determine the specific areas that will be targeted for coaching. In addition, depending upon the circumstances, the assessment may also include pre and post interviews with subordinates. Assessment will also be continuous and ongoing throughout the process
Initial sessions are held weekly and then bi weekly. The continuation and frequency of the sessions will be assessed monthly and will be determined as a result of the recommendation of the coach, client input, and feedback from the client’s superior. Sessions are typically held at the worksite and last from sixty to ninety minutes. Dr. Arleque is also available to her clients by phone and e-mail in between sessions. Coaching sessions may be done over the phone in certain circumstances.
Personal development coaching is for individuals who are seeking to improve the quality of their lives. It can be a very effective strategy for improving self-esteem, finding clarity in a career choice, improving and developing relationships, and achievement of personal goals.
Assessment is a continuous process and is achieved through interactive discussion with the client.
The client makes the decision on the amount of time and frequency of the sessions. The sessions are conducted in Dr. Arleque’s home office and may also be done on the phone.
